A5 Paintball Marker Review
A5 is a paintball marker, but not just any marker, as this is the newest and most innovative model from Tippmann's line. Tippmann has been known for manufacturing high quality guns with rugged durability. The A-5 is based on the designs of the Model 98 and the F/A (Full-Auto), but with a lot of improvements. For example, instead of using mechanical power source for supplying paintballs like the Tippmann F/A, A5 uses a pneumatic system that is far more efficient, allowing it to fire 12 balls per second. The improvement on the Model 98 is the much is that it's much easier to field strip. Field strip is the process of disassembling a marker on the field (sometimes during a game), in order to clean it up from a paint or maintain. New features include sight aiming, a closed bolt system, a front cocking lever, an adapter (for quick upgrades), a removable grip frame, an adjustable foregrip, and a carbine threaded barrel adapter. Tippmann gives this paintball marker a one year warranty. With it, you will also get a packet of gun oil and one extra tank o-ring. The fore grip is adjustable. In less than a minute, you can disassemble the A5 paintball gun, without needing any tools, because the design is very simple, clean and effective. Additionally, you can get a double trigger, flatline barrel and e-bolt. The cyclone system is what allows the A-5 to achieve such high rates of sustained fire. Cyclone feed system is a technology patented by Tippmann. It uses pneumatic force to push paintballs into the barrel. Every time you shoot a ball, the Cyclone feed system pushes another one in, allowing you to shoot sustained fire at an extremely high rate. You will hardly outshoot the feeding system. It automatically adjusts to your rate of fire, so the faster you fire, the faster it will feed. A ball will never break in this feeder, because it uses a blowback air pressure system. But if a ball actually does break inside, chances of which are really low, then you can use the special cleaning rod, press it in to manually clear the paint. This whole process won't take you any more than 30 seconds. The only downside of the cyclone feed system is its size, as it doubles the area in which you can get shot. Because according to some rules and scenarios, a hit in the marker counts. But this is not a major problem and if we have to be absolutely objective, it is the cyclone system that sets A5 apart from other models on the market. The bottomline adapter is vertical and will save you a lot of money. You can buy a regulator or expansion chamber and install it on the adapter by yourself. According to experts, you can dramatically increase the accuracy of A-5 Paintball marker by replacing the standard barrel with a 14" Palmer Pursuit chrome and copper barrel. |
